Job description

  • Lead and oversee electrical design for data centres across concept, scheme, and detailed stages.
  • Provide expertise in MV/LV distribution, UPS systems, STS, generators, switchgear, earthing, and resilience topologies (N+1, N+N, Tier II-IV).
  • Ensure compliance with international standards including IEC, BS, Uptime Institute, and mission-critical design guidelines.
  • Approve and sign off electrical calculations, single-line diagrams, specifications, and design reports.
  • Provide strategic leadership to the electrical team, supporting capability growth and technical excellence.
  • Mentor, guide, and develop engineers at all levels.
  • Represent the electrical discipline in client workshops, peer reviews, and high-level technical discussions.
  • Support business development activities, technical proposals, and client relationship management.

Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Chartered Engineer (CEng) through IET or equivalent.
  • Extensive experience in data centre or mission-critical electrical design.
  • Strong understanding of power resilience, redundancy strategies, and MV/LV distribution networks.
  • Proficient with industry software such as Amtech, Revit MEP, and AutoCAD.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and client-facing skills.
