Job description

This role plays a key part in ensuring our IT estate is well-governed, accurate and fit for the future. You'll take ownership of IT Asset Management (ITAM) and ITIL Configuration Management, helping to shape and mature our hardware, software and configuration processes.

Working closely with IT, Finance, Procurement and suppliers, you'll ensure assets are accurately tracked, compliant and delivering value across their full lifecycle.

What you'll be doing

  • Owning end-to-end IT Asset Management, covering hardware and software lifecycle management
  • Managing and maintaining the CMDB/CMS, ensuring configuration data is accurate, complete and audit-ready
  • Leading configuration audits, reconciliations and data quality reviews
  • Managing IT hardware purchasing and procurement in line with policy and budget controls
  • Working with suppliers to manage delivery, performance and asset-related issues
  • Producing regular reporting on asset inventory, lifecycle status, warranties and refresh cycles
  • Supporting audits, compliance reviews and financial reporting with high-quality data
  • Driving continual improvement across ITAM and configuration processes

Requirements

  • ITIL Foundation (v3 or v4)

  • A proactive, organised and detail-focused approach

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and remain calm under pressure

  • A drive for quality, accuracy and continuous improvement

  • Ideally experience in an IT Asset Management or similar role

  • Experience working with third-party service providers
