Job description
We are seeking an experienced AWS-focused DevOps Engineer to join a secure government programme delivering large-scale, mission-critical cloud solutions.
This is a fully remote contract (UK based), offering the opportunity to work within a high-performing Agile team while remaining hands-on across modern cloud and automation tooling.
What you'll be doing:
- Designing, building and maintaining secure, scalable AWS infrastructure
- Implementing Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation)
- Building and optimising CI/CD pipelines
- Supporting containerised deployments (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Driving automation, reliability and performance improvements
- Ensuring environments meet strict security and compliance standards
Requirements
- Strong commercial AWS experience (IAM, VPC, EC2, S3, RDS, etc.)
- Terraform or CloudFormation expertise
- CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or similar)
- Containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes desirable)
- Monitoring & logging tools (CloudWatch, ELK, Prometheus or similar)
- Experience working in secure/government environments
- Active SC Clearance (essential)
