Job description

In this role, you have the opportunity to help us advance healthcare by creating innovative solutions for healthcare providers as well as patients. In healthcare, there are many opportunities and challenges to improve patients' lives by designing solutions for patients and the healthcare organizations that provide care to them.

Your role:

  • Plan and execute the human-centered design process in alignment with project stakeholders and create the necessary usability documentation to ensure compliance with medical device regulations.
  • Evaluate design concepts and prototypes with the involvement of representative users. Collaborate with designers and engineers to improve designs iteratively and incrementally.
  • Plan, conduct, and report usability studies in compliance with usability regulations.
  • Own and conduct comprehensive use-related risk assessments with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Contribute to effective teamwork, receive guidance, and be a proactive team player, offering a point of view.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Usability?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * You have a Bachelor's degree in Human Factors Engineering, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Design Research or related discipline, or equivalent professional training experience.

  • Your skills include experience with Usability standards and guidelines such as IEC 62366, FDA Guidance for Human-Factors and HE75.
  • Your skills include experience with human-centered design methods, such as focus groups, interviews, contextual inquiries, usability evaluation, documentation, and reporting.
  • You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive, and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.
  • You have demonstrable usability experience from relevant companies, agencies, institutions, or own consultancy.
  • You independently work on project activities with a good understanding of budget and time constraints, driving efficiency, and facilitating design quality reviews.
  • You are willing to work together with or consult business stakeholders, actively manage relationships, challenge the status quo to drive innovation, and step up for the user.
  • You are willing to travel abroad for workshops and Usability studies.
  • You are fluent in English, good german language skills preferred
