Job description
Python Developer for an initial 6-month contract engagement £350-£400 per day
This role is outside IR35 and is fully remote. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background in Mathematics, Physics, or another highly quantitative discipline, and will be comfortable working on analytically complex, performance-focused systems. This role would suit a contractor who enjoys solving challenging technical problems, building robust systems from first principles, and working independently within a distributed team.
Responsibilities Design and develop high-quality Python applications and systems Implement mathematical models, simulations, or data-processing pipelines Optimise algorithms for performance and efficiency Contribute to system architecture and technical design decisions Write clean, well-documented, and testable code Collaborate effectively within a remote engineering team
Required Experience Strong commercial experience with Python Degree in Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or related quantitative field Solid grounding in algorithms, data structures, and numerical methods Experience with scientific or data libraries (eg NumPy, SciPy, Pandas)
