Our client is working with a global leader in the Insurance and Financial Services sector, is the headline sponsor for a premier high-profile sports property.
We are seeking a high-level Freelance Consultant or Economic Statistician to bridge the gap between complex data science and sports marketing strategy. We're looking for someone to mission prove the tangible, bottom-line value of sponsorship investments through rigorous data modelling.
This is a high-impact, two-phase engagement. You will initially serve as a strategic educator and sounding board for internal leadership, with the project transitioning into a long-term implementation phase to build a permanent valuation framework., * Act as the internal expert to challenge existing assumptions and provide context on how sponsorship truly moves the needle.
- Best-in-Practice: Establish the gold standard for sponsorship measurement, moving the brand away from vanity metrics toward econometric rigour.
- Data Navigation: Identify and extract key data points across disparate business units.
- Model Development: Build a robust Marketing Mix Model (MMM) and ROI framework specifically designed to attribute value to the September sports activations.
- Integration: Ensure the framework is scalable and can be utilised for future long-term sponsorship investments.
Requirements
- Econometrics Mastery: Deep experience in MMM, specifically in environments where Sponsorship is a core variable.
- Hybrid between a technical data expert who possesses the commercial acumen to advise C-suite stakeholders.
- Sector Expertise: Experience within Finance/Insurance (client-side) or within the Data/Intelligence units of major networked Media Agencies.
- Technical Stack: Proficiency in SQL, R, and Python is essential for navigating the data architecture.
- Strategic Mindset: Ability to translate "data speak" into actionable insights for marketing and finance teams.
