An established trading organisation is seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to contribute to a large-scale transformation of its data ecosystem.
The company is consolidating several legacy warehouses and fragmented data sources into a unified Databricks-based environment. This strategic initiative aims to modernise the firm's data capabilities, creating a more scalable, reliable, and efficient foundation for analytics, reporting, and near real-time insights across the business.
In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and maintaining the core data platform. You'll collaborate closely with senior technical peers while also providing guidance and support to less experienced engineers. This position offers the chance to operate in a technically advanced, data-centric setting where your work will directly impact business performance., * Design, develop, and maintain a centralised Databricks data platform
- Lead the migration and integration of multiple legacy data stores into a modern architecture
- Build robust, scalable ETL/ELT processes and data pipelines
- Coach and support junior team members
- Help define architectural standards and promote engineering best practices
Requirements
Do you have experience in Spark?, * Proven hands-on experience working with Databricks
- Strong programming skills in Python and SQL
- Background in building or enhancing modern data platforms or data warehouse solutions
- Solid foundations in software and data engineering principles
- Experience guiding or mentoring junior engineers

- Previous involvement in modernising or migrating legacy data environments
