In your role as Diagnostic Software Engineer, you take full ownership of developing and validating advanced diagnostic software for a world-leading automotive manufacturer. You join the specialized Diagnostics department, a team dedicated to delivering the essential tools used by mechanics worldwide to maintain high-tech heavy-duty vehicles. You bridge the gap between complex technical specifications and practical workshop applications, ensuring new vehicle features are integrated seamlessly.
As a Diagnostic Software Engineer, your dauntless approach to technical challenges ensures global fleet reliability. Your core responsibilities include:
- Analyzing diagnostic documentation from Product Development to establish software requirements;
- Developing high-quality diagnostic content in Grade-X, utilizing OTX and ODX standards;
- Performing rigorous validation and testing on both test benches and actual vehicles;
- Monitoring development progress and reporting status clearly to management.
Requirements
To excel as a Diagnostic Software Engineer in this high-stakes environment, you must meet the following hard criteria:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Software Development or Automotive Engineering;
- Proven experience with automotive diagnostics, specifically OTX and ODX standards;
- Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken;
- Ability to work on-site in Eindhoven at least three days per week for essential vehicle testing.
