Job description
We are seeking a Data Analyst to join our Investment Strategy team, where you will play a key role in building and maintaining scalable data and analytics solutions in a modern cloud environment. This role sits at the intersection of data engineering and investment analysis, supporting portfolio strategists/quants and actuaries with reliable, high-quality data and actionable insights., * Maintain and optimise existing databases and team data pipelines that support investment strategy modelling objectives.
- Design and build new, well-structured data tables and datasets to support quantitative research and modelling initiatives.
- Improve the efficiency and reliability of programmatic data flows across the team.
- Migrate legacy databases to cloud-native data lake architectures in fabric/Databricks.
- Boost team AI capability through data.
- Build out and improve analytics within team dashboards.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance data quality rules at source.
- Leverage AI-enabled tools and techniques to improve development efficiency.
- Ensure strong data governance, metadata management, and best practices.
- Build and maintain data relationships and integrations across the business.
- Collaborate with solution architects on future data and platform design.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Tableau?, * Strong SQL and base level of Python skills, or experience in other query languages
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI and/or Tableau
- Experience building and supporting data pipelines.
- Solid understanding of relational and non-relational database concepts.
- Familiarity or knowledge of modern data platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, or Snowflake.
- Understanding of AI and how its applied in data.
- Preferably from a strong numerical/analytical background.
- Knowledge of finance and insurance is also desirable.
- Graduate degree in a technical or analytical field
- Previous experience in a finance or insurance business is desirable
