Job description

Job purpose - We're expanding our internal software engineering capability and are looking for an experienced Full Stack C# Developer to join our small but talented development team working on our auction platforms developed in ASP.NET MVC.

The Role - You will be responsible for end-to-end solution delivery from technical design through to deployment and optimisation. Working across both front-end and back-end, you will build new features, maintain existing codebases, and integrate with third party systems.

You'll also work with the existing team to help define best practices, guide architecture decisions and help mentor junior members of the team., * Develop and maintain new functionality and features on our auction platforms written in ASP.NET MVC C#

  • Work with Microsoft SQL Server databases to query, design and optimise tables and stored procedures
  • Implement dynamic client-side functionality using JavaScript, jQuery and other modern frameworks
  • Design and develop APIs, middleware and console applications
  • Write clean, maintainable, efficient well-documented code
  • Collaborate with stakeholders on architecture and technical design
  • Mentor and support other team members
  • Sprint planning, code reviews and contribute ideas for continuous improvement
  • Follow best practices for version control, testing and deployment
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across the stack

Requirements

Do you have experience in jQuery?, Must-Have:

  • 5+ years of professional experience in full stack development
  • Deep expertise in ASP.NET MVC, .NET Core, Web API C#
  • Good understanding of SignalR and WebSockets for real-time updates
  • Strong knowledge of front-end development (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, responsive design)
  • Good working knowledge of relational databases especially Microsoft SQL Server (design T-SQL, stored procedures, indexing and performance)
  • Experience working on high-traffic or transactional web platforms including ecommerce sites
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs
  • Experience with Git-based workflows and version control
  • Understanding of testing methodologies and writing automated tests
  • Experience of working with stakeholders and mentoring developers
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative, agile environment

Nice-to-Have:

  • Understanding of front-end accessibility and SEO best practice
  • Experience with Windows and Linux servers
  • Familiarity with Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure etc)
  • Experience developing with or integrating with AI services or working with basic machine learning models
  • Understanding of data security and compliance
  • Experience coding React and React Native
  • Experience deploying apps to Apple App Store and Google Play Store
  • Familiarity with Content Delivery Networks (Cloudflare)
  • WordPress plugin and theme development
  • Previous experience working on Government contracts
