Job description
This role involves supporting clients from our offices based in Corby, working within a team of technicians and providing excellent levels of technical support to customers. A large portion of the role will involve providing technical support to external clients via remote managed services. Additionally, you will work on occasion to support senior technicians in carrying out project work, installations, and scheduled maintenance on customer systems.
Due to the nature of the role, a full driving license with your own transport is required, and some out-of-hours work/support may be necessary, including weekends and cover as needed.

Your role will include…
- Answering all calls promptly, politely, calmly, and professionally.
- Providing users with a high level of 1st line support.
- Maintaining customer expectations and escalating issues when necessary.
- Coordinating the effective resolution of problems to ensure service delivery and implementing solutions to prevent reoccurrence.
- Assembling and configuring server hardware and peripherals in our in-house lab when necessary.
- Investigating and diagnosing IT faults and problems, including hardware and software issues, PC systems, and network equipment.
- Following standard operating procedures (SOPs) for daily / weekly recurring tasks.
Requirements
Do you have a valid Driving License license?, Do you have experience in Microsoft Windows Server?, To be successful in this role, you will need to be creative and driven. The ability to work independently and be proactive in your approach is essential., Essential
- Experience with Microsoft Operating System installation and support.
- Experience in providing support in a networked environment.
- Experience in Windows Server Administration, including Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.
- Basic knowledge of Hyper-V virtualization technology.
- An understanding of data backup principles.
Desirable
- Training or experience using Sophos Products
- Training or experience using Microsoft Office 365
- Knowledge of networking technologies and troubleshooting (IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs and switching
Education and training
Essential
- Full UK Driving License

- Microsoft Certifications.
- CompTIA certifications.
