A minimum of 5 GCSEs or equivalent including Maths & English, or relevant demonstrable experience.

Degree or equivalent in an ICT related subject, or relevant demonstrable experience.
Desirable:
- NVQ/HND or similar ICT qualification
- ITIL Foundation

Grades 7-9 are equivalent to the old grades A and A*.

The bottom of grade 7 aligns with the bottom of grade A.

Grades 4-6 are equivalent to the old grades B and C.

The bottom of grade 4 aligns with the bottom of grade C, * A minimum of 5 years' experience in delivering and providing support in a wide range of ICT areas.

High degree of ICT literacy.

A good understanding of ICT security technologies and practices.

A good understanding of software patching methodology

A good understanding of Hardware patching methodology

A good understanding of Internet technologies

A good understanding of Wide Area Networks/Virtual Private Networks (VPN)

A good understanding of Virtualisation technologies

Experience of server technologies

Data, Wireless & radio technologies.
