Job description
As an Energy Data & Customer Analyst, you will support both domestic and commercial customers with billing and technical queries while analysing and interpreting energy industry data. This Energy Data & Customer Analyst role requires someone who can confidently move between analysing data sets, identifying discrepancies, and communicating clearly with customers and internal teams to resolve issues.
The Energy Data & Customer Analyst will work closely with customers, third-party agents, and internal departments to ensure data accuracy, resolve industry queries, and maintain a consistently high standard of service., * Deliver excellent customer service to domestic and commercial customers
- Handle customer and industry queries via telephone
- Resolve customer billing enquiries accurately and efficiently
- Manage technical queries relating to smart meters
- Liaise with third-party agents to resolve customer and data-related issues
- Extract, validate, and analyse operational and industry data
- Produce reports and interpret energy industry data flows
- Identify errors, trends, and opportunities for process improvement
- Use analytical and problem-solving skills to investigate and explain data discrepancies
Requirements
This Energy Data & Customer Analyst position is approximately 50% data analysis and 50% customer service, making it ideal for someone with strong analytical skills who also enjoys solving customer queries and explaining technical information clearly. The Energy Data & Customer Analyst will play a key role in resolving customer billing queries, interpreting industry data flows, and identifying improvements across operational processes.
Candidates with experience in the energy or utilities sector will be particularly well suited to this role, although full industry training will be provided., * Strong customer service and communication skills
- IT literate with experience using databases and Microsoft Excel
- Analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to identify and resolve data discrepancies
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Previous experience within the Energy or Utilities sector is highly desirable
- Tenacity, drive, and a proactive approach to work
Benefits & conditions
- £28,000 - £30,000 per annum
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
- Monday to Friday working hours (8:00am - 5:00pm)
