Job description
The CMS Segment within our Naval organization is responsible for the development of Combat & Information Management Systems for naval vessels and their integration with sensor and weapons systems. These complex systems incorporate advanced solutions in the field of information processing, information management, user interaction and sensor and weapons control. As such, our TACTICOS Combat Management System offers essential support for missions ranging from combating piracy to defense against long-range missiles.
The CMS segment is responsible for the engineering and delivery of qualified software and hardware.
About your future job
As a System Engineer Infrastructure in the CMS Segment, you work in an international multidisciplinary team on the specification, design, development and validation of the infra structure for a command & control system. You will be a part of a team consists of system engineers with expertise's ranging across the breadth of the functionality, software architecture, infrastructure, hardware architecture, security and safety of the TACTICOS system. The system Engineer INFRA, in cooperation with the rest of the team, is responsible for the global design of the infrastructure related subjects, thereby considering the functional behavior, performance, quality, security, safety and costs, to find the optimal solution for our customer.
You are in the lead in design meeting where you, together with colleagues and customer, discuss about the functional needs and formalize the functional and technical specification of the infrastructure components.
The CMS INFRA is compilation of basic components which are used in several Thales products. As infra specialist you understand the infra architecture and also the relationship with the application, hardware and security requirements.

Requirements
- Master degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field;
- Generalist, with a broad interest in technology;
- Strong systems thinking, attention to detail and natural ownership
- Communication skills and able to work in multidisciplinary teams;
- You can quickly understand the system in which you evolve (key stakeholders, interactions, products, environment …) ;
- Able to convince others and drive change (in way or working / mindset)
- Strong problem-solving skills with an ability to analyze complex technical problems and suggest effective solutions.
- High level of creativity, initiative, pragmatism and persuasiveness;
- Familiar with cybersecurity and safety.
- Ideally, you are fluent in both English and Dutch
