Infrastructure Engineer

This role offers the opportunity to work across a broad range of infrastructure technologies while supporting critical business systems and delivering high-quality IT services. The Role As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will provide advanced Level 3 technical support, resolving complex networking and infrastructure issues while helping to maintain a stable, secure, and high-performing IT environment. Key Responsibilities Deliver Level 3 technical support across infrastructure and networking environments. Manage, configure, and troubleshoot Windows Server environments and virtualisation platforms such as VMware and Hyper-V. Administer and support Microsoft 365, including user management, permissions, and security configuration. Maintain core services including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy. through Microsoft Intune, ensuring device security and compliance. Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions, including backup monitoring, restoration, and DR testing. Support and maintain network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points. Work closely with internal teams to deliver reliable IT services and maintain clear technical documentation. What Were Looking For 35 years experience in a senior technical support or infrastructure role. Strong experience managing Windows Server environments and virtualisation technologies. Solid understanding of Windows-based operating systems and enterprise infrastructure environments. Experience administering Microsoft 365. Practical knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy. Experience with Microsoft Intune and mobile device management solutions. Familiarity with backup technologies such as Veeam or similar solutions. Relevant Microsoft certifications. Strong documentation skills and clear communication abilities. Desirable Experience Previous experience working within a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment. Hands-on experience with network hardware, including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless infrastructure.
