Why are we recruiting? We have an exciting opportunity to join our Infrastructure Team as an Infrastructure Engineer to help us drive stability and improvements to our PayPoint Group's IT Infrastructure while we continue to push forward with our next gen cloud technology and automation.What will you be doing? Infrastructure engineers will ensure automation of tasks is at the forefront of speed to deployment of new project work or existing improvements to the infrastructure.The ideal person will have a proven track record in the installation, support and maintenance of advanced Windows and Linux Technologies and be able to demonstrate managing incidents through to resolution. They will be able todemonstratean understanding of Infrastructure services to an elevated level for On-Premise, and In-Cloud technologies. Previous experience of working in the financial sector or an ability to provide examples of working in a service critical environment are advantageous.As an Infrastructure Engineer, they will be responsible for ensuring the Infrastructure Services meet all regulatory requirements, namely PCI DSS, ISO27001, and Cyber Security Essentials. This will include the introduction of standards to ensure conformity within the PayPoint environments.Key ResponsibilitiesOperational support of the Infrastructure carrying out 2nd and 3rd line analysis of incidents and problemsEngaging with relevant 3rd party support to assist with incident resolutionResolution, Root Cause Analysis, Impact Analysis and Escalation, should be carried out in a timely manner with detailed documentation in the ticketing platformEnsure compliance and operation within all company controls and security standardsAssist with Projects and Infrastructure DeliveryProactively drive automation of infrastructure tasks to guarantee the outcome of repeatable tasksIdentify improvements to existing processes ensuring that with agreement, these improvements are implemented in line with PayPoint and Handepay standardsService improvement through best practice and new and innovative technologiesEnsure consistency and quality of the service so that all support tickets are progressed in line with operational service levelsReview and approve changes in line with the Change Management ProcessImplement, maintain and test PayPoint DR services as and when requiredUpdate documentation, policies and procedures and ensure they are followedCover on-call duties for 1 week out of 4 per monthPerform any other duties as applicableWhat would we like from you?Proven Production Support or Project Delivery experienceProven ability to document and explain designsDetail-oriented with strong written and verbal communication skillsExpert Knowledge in the following:Windows Server OS's (Ideally from 2016 to 2022)Full Windows Stack including DHCP, DNS, ADLinux (Ideally Ubuntu, RedHat, and Rocky)Microsoft Exchange 2013/2016Microsoft Office 365Microsoft Azure Stack from Compute, Networking, to Azure Active DirectoryHyper-VProven support experience in:VMWareNetAppSystem CenterCisco, Routers and SwitchesMicrosoft SQLIaC Technologies (Ansible, Terraform, etc)Understanding of security in relation to network, server, applications, data, and databasesAdditional preferred experience:PCI-DSS complianceProficient in PowerShell Scripting, Bash Scripting or PythonWindows Storage Spaces and Storage Spaces DirectHPE HardwareDesign of Highly Available SystemsExperience in:Delivering projects and solutions from inception to completionOptional software experience:zScalerCrowdStrikeSIEMSolarwindsZabbixGrafanaAzure DevOpsJenkinsWhat can we do for you?
