Job description
Main mission: The research work will consist of analyzing the DNA of several hundred humans for whom CBCT scans of their teeth are available. The postdoctoral researcher will therefore be responsible for genetic analysis (including selection, sorting, and elaboration of a genetic database) and will collaborate with other researchers involved in this project to combine molecular and morphometric data.
Main activities: The main tasks will consist of:
- processing and analyzing genetic data from hundreds of individuals who volunteered to participate in the GenoMorph project.
- Identifying candidate genes related to dental morphology and structure
- methodological development for the combined analysis of genetic and morphometric data
- genotype inferences based on the phenotype of specimens from the paleoanthropological record
- processing and analysis of data from scans (optional : Depending on the experience and skills of the person recruited, they may be required to process and analyse 3D data from scans.)

Position specificities: The postdoctoral researcher will work under the supervision of Dr. Zanolli and will have the opportunity to collaborate with the researchers associated to GenoMorph.

- Knowledge: Handling and analysis of genetic data, and how to interpret them
- Technical Skills: DNA data analysis
- Interpersonal Skills: Communication skills to facilitate the scientific collaboration among the GenoMorph consortium
- Languages: English / French
- Level: Excellent
