An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Test Engineer to join a specialist engineering team developing and testing advanced scientific and technical systems used by leading research organisations worldwide.
As a Test Engineer, you will play a key role in validating complex equipment, ensuring systems perform reliably before delivery to customers. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on engineering, problem solving, and working with highly technical equipment.
Working closely with engineering and production teams, the Test Engineer will support system testing, diagnostics, and performance verification throughout the development and manufacturing process., * Carry out functional and performance testing of complex engineering systems
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve technical faults and performance issues
- Work with engineering teams to ensure systems meet design specifications and quality standards
- Assist with system commissioning and validation
- Maintain accurate test documentation and reports
- Support improvements to testing processes and procedures
- Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to ensure smooth project delivery
Requirements
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Physics, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- Strong hands-on testing and diagnostic skills with complex technical systems
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and engineering documentation
- Strong problem-solving and analytical ability
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work methodically and maintain accurate technical records
Desirable Experience
- Experience working with scientific, vacuum, cryogenic, or high-precision engineering systems
- Familiarity with test instrumentation and data analysis
