Job description
The organisation delivers specialist joinery solutions for commercial, healthcare, education and hospitality sectors, working on projects across the UK. The Document Controller will play a critical role in ensuring that all project documentation, drawings, specifications and compliance records are properly managed, version-controlled and distributed to the correct teams., Document Management
- Manage and maintain project documentation including drawings, specifications, reports and compliance records.
- Ensure all documents are correctly logged, stored and version controlled within internal systems.
- Maintain accurate document registers for live and completed projects.
- Ensure the latest revisions of drawings and documents are distributed to relevant internal teams and site staff.
- Archive completed project documentation in accordance with company procedures.
Project Support
- Provide administrative support to project managers, design teams and operations staff.
- Track document submissions, approvals and revisions throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate the receipt and issue of technical drawings, installation manuals and specifications.
- Assist with compiling project handover documentation and operation & maintenance manuals.
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure documentation meets required quality, compliance and audit standards.
- Maintain accurate records of certifications, compliance documents and technical data.
- Assist with preparation of documentation required for audits, project reviews and client submissions.
Coordination & Communication
- Act as the central point of contact for project documentation queries.
- Liaise with internal departments including design, production and site teams.
- Coordinate document submissions to clients, contractors and consultants where required.

- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Experience managing technical drawings, revisions and document registers.
- Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with multiple departments.
- Ability to manage large volumes of documentation while maintaining accuracy.
Desirable
- Experience within construction, manufacturing, joinery, or engineering environments.
- Familiarity with document control systems or common data environments (CDEs).
- Experience supporting project teams or technical departments.
