With over 50% of the company owned by its employees, this is a unique opportunity to contribute to mission-critical hardware and share in the success of a globally respected space technology company.As an FPGA Engineer, you'll work hands-on with high-reliability digital subsystems-developing IP cores and data-handling architectures that support the latest onboard networks and avionics platforms.As the FPGA Engineer you'll be working on:
- Design and implementation of FPGA logic using VHDL
- Simulation and testbench development for design verification
- Timing closure, synthesis, and integration across FPGA platforms
- Supporting digital communication systems and high-speed interface development
- Collaborating with engineering teams on space-qualified, flight-ready systems
Requirements
- Strong VHDL and digital design skills, including simulation and debugging
- Experience designing FPGAs for aerospace or high-reliability environments
- Knowledge of SpaceWire, SpaceFibre, or similar onboard data protocols
- Background in DSP, comms systems, or high-speed peripheral integration
- Familiarity with fault tolerance or radiation-aware design
