Job description
We are seeking a Data Insight Analyst to join a social housing team based in London and to contribute to the Empty Homes transformation programme. This role is crucial for supporting regular performance management of empty homes by working closely with business stakeholders to understand processes, analyse data, and develop new reporting methods to enhance performance.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Extract, clean, and transform data from the NEC housing management system, using Azure Data Bricks for transformation and Power BI for reporting.
- Develop and maintain insightful visualisations and reports to aid in decision-making and performance evaluations.
- Collaborate with various departments to align data analysis with organisational objectives and ensure data integrity and accuracy.
- Provide actionable insights through detailed analysis, helping to focus efforts on improving operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Communicate complex data findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clarity and actionable understanding.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of data analysis and performance reporting within the housing sector, particularly related to empty homes.
- Proficient in SQL, Power BI, and Excel; capable of manipulating and analysing complex datasets.
- Experience with NEC housing management systems; familiarity with Azure Data Bricks is beneficial.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data to non-data specialists and engage effectively with clients.
- Fast learner with the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
