IT Technician

Reporting to the Head of IT you will be joining a team of 2 support engineers in the provision of IT support remotely and on site within Hunt's Food Group., * Provide IT support across the site, resolving hardware/software issues.

• Set up and maintain IT equipment for new and existing users.
• Liaise with 3rd parties.
• Perform back up checks and complete test restores.
• Liaise with internal users and external IT support where needed.
• Conduct regular maintenance.
• Assist with IT documentation.
• Drive improvements and innovation across IT systems and infrastructure.
• Help with onboarding of new companies/users.

Do you have experience in VMware?, * Proven ability to learn new things. We expect the successful candidate to take the initiative, ask questions, look for continuous improvement and be accountable for their actions.

• Working collaboratively with others in the team and with key stakeholders around the business. It is important for this candidate to be able to think of the bigger picture, not just the importance of one's own agenda.
• Strong organisational, time-management and prioritisation abilities. The candidate will need to be approachable and enthusiastic. This is a fast-paced role which will compliment an individual who thrives in that environment.

Required Competencies

• Microsoft Office & Windows (Desktop)
• 1 year of experience in commercial IT support
• Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude
• Comfortable working across factory and office environments

Desirable:

• Familiarity with networks, VLANs, VMware, or virtual servers, Windows Servers
