Job description

We are looking for the Audience Insights Analyst who will be responsible for developing a deep, human-centred understanding of audiences and translating data into insight that informs editorial, product and commercial decision-making.

This role brings together survey research, first-party data, qualitative insight and industry context to tell clear, compelling stories about who audiences are, what motivates them, and how their needs are changing.

Your Role Accountabilities…

  • Analyse and synthesise data from surveys, first-party sources, qualitative inputs and industry studies to develop a clear understanding of audience segments, behaviours and motivations.
  • Support the design and delivery of quantitative and qualitative research, including questionnaire input, data preparation, core analysis and interpretation.
  • Create clear, concise insight outputs (presentations, one-pagers, reports) that translate findings into practical implications for the business.
  • Work closely with commercial ad sales, sponsored editorial, branded content and digital insights teams to clarify briefs, understand context and deliver relevant audience insight.
  • Contribute audience insight to sales pitches, proposals and campaign effectiveness studies, supporting senior colleagues with analysis, charts and insight narratives.
  • Build credibility through reliable delivery, clear communication and strong analytical judgement, escalating risks or uncertainties early.

Requirements

  • Experience in audience insights, research, strategy, analytics or a related role.
  • Strong experience working with survey data and audience research.
  • Excellent storytelling and presentation skills.
  • Comfortable working independently and managing multiple projects.
  • Experience with qualitative research methods (e.g. interviews, focus groups).
  • Familiarity with media, publishing, digital products or marketing environments.
  • Working knowledge of analytics or research tools (e.g. SPSS, Excel, basic SQL).
  • Exposure to brand, perception or campaign evaluation studies.
