Job description

Groupe SM Tardif is seeking an IT Support Technician to join its IT team. Your main mission will be to troubleshoot IT issues, document solutions, and support employees by sharing your knowledge in a dynamic and accessible way. You will also be responsible for maintaining and updating users' IT equipment, and you will work closely with the Systems Administrator to ensure our infrastructure remains in optimal condition., * Provide thorough, high-quality technical support to all company users, respond to support tickets, and, when required, resolve more complex issues while diligently documenting follow-ups and solutions.

  • Deliver training on key applications, including M365 (SharePoint, Teams, etc.), and create reusable training materials.
  • Maintain and update users' IT equipment.
  • Collaborate with IT team members on the resolution of complex issues and the implementation of complex projects.
  • Contribute to relationships with external IT service providers.
  • Participate in the IT equipment procurement process.
  • Use your experience to improve operational processes, increase efficiency, and propose automation solutions.
  • Assist with any other activities related to IT operations.

Requirements

  • Diploma of College Studies (DEC) or Attestation of College Studies (AEC) in Information Technology (a lower level of education may be compensated by relevant experience).
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • Strong ability to diagnose, resolve, and document IT issues effectively.
  • Good knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems, the Apple ecosystem, and business applications such as M365.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong customer service mindset.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.
  • Availability to be on call, as required.
  • Fluency in French (spoken and written) and a functional understanding of technical English.
