Job description

The Junior Finance Analyst will maintain accurate financial data, update monthly trackers, and provide analysis to support effective decision-making across multiple projects. Working closely with Finance and Project teams, you ll play a key role in ensuring accurate financial oversight and supporting future project success. Responsibilities + Contribute to the monthly financial reporting cycle + Support the preparation of forecasts and project financial plans + Generate cash flow profiles and monitor milestone payments + Work with Finance and Commercial teams to support invoicing + Update monthly financial trackers, budgets, and timesheets in real time + Ensure accuracy and integrity of project financial data, resolving discrepancies + Provide ad-hoc analysis to support decision making + Assist with compliance, audit preparation, and reporting improvements

Requirements

Strong analytical and numerical ability with excellent attention to detail + Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, complex formulas) + Ability to handle multiple data sources and reporting systems + Strong communication skills able to explain financial performance clearly + Organised, proactive and able to meet deadlines Desirable + Experience in a finance, accounts, or budget-related role + Exposure to engineering, maritime, defence, or project-driven environments + Knowledge of compliance, audit, or PMO processes + Degree in Finance, Business, or Commercial discipline (or equivalent experience)
