Job description
As a Technical Product Owner, your goal is to ensure that the right product is built, validated,
and accepted. You have the technical skills to translate business needs into clear product
features. As part of the Documents product unit, you'll be an expert in end-to-end invoicing
processes, high-volume communications, and the delivery of complex, dynamic documents
through digital and physical channels (compliant with government guidelines). You understand
document flow automation and are comfortable working in a cloud-based environment.
Responsibilities
This is what we expect of you:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure product alignment with business needs.
- Translate business requirements into high-level diagrams and flows.
- Work closely with UX teams, architects, and technical leads.
- Validate early prototypes and provide continuous feedback during development.
- Coordinate with internal and external partners, ensuring effective communication and
proactive action-taking.
- Oversee the handover to the operations team and track documentation.
- Propose product roadmap features (> 3 months) and manage short-term backlogs (< 3
months).
- Work alongside development teams to ensure production-ready releases.
- Prioritise the backlog, in agreement with the Product Manager
- Write the technical specifications: divide features into User Stories & Cases (US), to
guarantee the needs are properly implemented in the product.
Requirements
Do you have experience in XML?, * Passion for the Accounts Payable/Receivable and Documents industry.
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in the domain, within e-invoicing or
accounting.
- Experience working with development teams.
- Team player with the ability to work autonomously.
- Hands-on mentality and ownership of tasks. You like to take initiative!
- Effective verbal and written communication (English/Dutch at C2; French is a plus)
- You are a natural leader and you have strong organizational and presentation
skills.
- Experience with translating requirements into rules related to e-invoicing formats
to be implemented by the development teams
- Be able to dive in to (government) specifications around e-invoicing ranging from
file formats, apis and protocols and extract what needs to be done to get to a
compliant solution
- Be able to bridge the gap between functional requirements and technological
realities to find pragmatic solutions
- Familiarity with tools like Google Docs, Sheets, Draw, XML Spy, Postman, Aha, Jira
