Job description

This role would suit someone who enjoys working strategically with customers to identify opportunities, develop long-term partnerships and drive sustainable business growth ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY As an International Solutions Manager, you will play a key role in expanding Intertek's global Food Services business by developing strategic partnerships with major multinational food companies. Working closely with our global technical teams and local affiliates, you will be responsible for identifying opportunities across our full portfolio of food assurance services, including testing, auditing, certification, supply chain assurance and regulatory support. You will manage a portfolio of strategic food accounts and develop tailored commercial strategies to expand global revenue, strengthen client relationships and deliver long-term value to customers. This role offers the opportunity to work with some of the world's leading food brands while collaborating with Intertek's global network of laboratories and experts. Key activities:

  • Develop and implement a global sales strategy for assigned strategic food accounts
  • Identify opportunities to expand Intertek's services across multinational retailers, manufacturers and food service organisations
  • Lead commercial discussions and negotiations to secure long-term contracts and strategic partnerships
  • Promote and sell Intertek's full Food Services portfolio, leveraging the expertise and capabilities of global Intertek affiliates
  • Develop and deliver high-quality commercial proposals and client presentations
  • Collaborate closely with technical teams, regional sales teams and Global Key Account Managers to ensure successful service delivery
  • Support the implementation of Master Service Agreements and Statements of Work for multinational clients
  • Maintain strong engagement with customers to identify new opportunities and strengthen long-term relationships
  • Accurately manage pipeline activity and client interactions using Intertek CRM systems
  • Ensure smooth coordination between global teams to deliver integrated solutions to key clients

We are looking for a commercially driven professional with strong experience in the global food industry, ideally with a background in food testing, assurance, auditing or related services. You will have a proven ability to develop strategic client relationships and identify opportunities to grow revenue across complex multinational organisations. You will be confident engaging with senior stakeholders across retailers, manufacturers and food service organisations, building trusted partnerships and positioning Intertek as a strategic partner for quality, safety and compliance solutions. You are a proactive self-starter with strong business development skills and the ability to manage multiple international accounts simultaneously. You will be comfortable working in a fast-paced, global environment and collaborating with technical experts and regional teams to deliver solutions that meet customer needs. The successful candidate will bring a strong commercial mindset, excellent communication skills and the ability to translate technical services into value-driven solutions for clients. Required skills and experience:

  • Significant experience working within the food industry, ideally within food testing, assurance, certification, auditing or supply chain services
  • Strong understanding of food safety, quality assurance, and regulatory requirements within global food supply chains
  • Demonstrated success in business development, strategic account management or solution selling
  • Ability to engage, influence and negotiate with senior decision-makers and executive stakeholders
  • Experience managing international or multinational customer accounts
  • Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously
  • Experience using CRM systems and reporting tools to manage pipelines and client relationships
  • Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills
  • An international mindset with the ability to collaborate across global teams
