We are seeking a Software Engineer to help design, build, and maintain our calculation framework and associated analytics systems. As part of the Engineering team, you will collaborate with other engineers to develop and deploy a complex, scalable, and robust distributed calculation engine, contributing to ongoing performance improvements and system reliability., * Develop and maintain core logic and programming languages that power our calculation engine across multiple parts of our products

• Take ownership of a growing set of system components, ensuring they operate in a reliable, robust, and scalable manner

• Work collaboratively across teams, acting as a key link between engineering, data, and infrastructure to deliver and support shared components

• Support customer operations and professional services by helping enable, deploy, and optimise the use of our products

• Contribute to the evolution of our next-generation in-house big data language, with a focus on horizontal scalability and handling high-volume, variable data loads across different customers

• Helping tailor system behaviour and performance to different customer requirements

The successful candidate will be keen to apply their development and problem-solving skills in a practical setting proven to deliver high-quality software., * Proven software engineering ability in C#, C++ or Java.

• Solid low-level programming knowledge, including strong understanding of memory management, compilers and algorithms.

• Proven focus on performance-critical systems

• Working knowledge of SQL

• Experience with distributed systems, including queuing and message-based architectures, would be an advantage

• Experience building or working with applications that scale horizontally

• STEM background or a similar computational subject
