Job description

NHS Highland is seeking an outstanding and visionary digital leader to shape and deliver our Digital and Information Systems agenda across one of Scotland's most complex and geographically diverse health systems. This is a rare opportunity to make a lasting impact on the health and wellbeing of communities across the Highlands through digital transformation and innovation. Reporting directly to the Deputy Chief Executive, you will provide strategic leadership across digital services, IT, information governance, cyber security, and data protection. You will lead a highly skilled, multidisciplinary team delivering services to more than 200 sites, and hold responsibility for a £16.7m revenue budget and £1.25m capital programme. This pivotal role sits at the heart of NHS Highland's ambition to deliver a healthier future for the people we serve. We are looking for a credible, inspiring leader with the vision, energy, and resilience to drive change at scale, and the ability to lead confidently within a complex and evolving system. As Associate Director of Digital and Information Systems, you will set strategic direction and provide leadership that enables continuous improvement across NHS Highland. Your focus will be on harnessing digital transformation and innovation to deliver safe, sustainable, integrated, and modern health and social care services that truly meet the needs of our population. This is a significant senior leadership opportunity within an ambitious Health Board, working alongside a committed and supportive executive and leadership team. Requirements

You will be a high-impact leader with substantial experience at a senior corporate level in a complex organisation, with a proven track record of delivering major IT/digital programmes. You will bring strong strategic thinking, excellent communication and influencing skills, and the ability to lead high-performing teams.
