Job description

You will play an instrumental role in guiding the evolution of cloud-based infrastructure that supports vital banking functions. Your daily remit will encompass architecting scalable networking frameworks on GCP while working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration between cloud services and legacy systems

Requirements

You will employ advanced automation tools such as Terraform Cloud and Jenkins to refine deployment processes whilst maintaining rigorous adherence to security protocols. By proactively managing incidents and contributing thoughtfully during code reviews, you will help fortify the resilience of the platform. Your ability to communicate effectively across diverse teams will be essential for the successful rollout of new designs that satisfy both technical specifications and strategic business imperatives., * Extensive experience in constructing, configuring, and optimising Google Cloud Platform networking at an enterprise scale with comprehensive understanding of components such as Dedicated Interconnects, VPC network peering, Cloud Routers, Firewalls, Google DNS, Cloud NAT, IAM, and VPC Service Controls.

  • A demonstrable history of involvement in large-scale GCP networking projects encompassing deployment or implementation activities, scaling initiatives, technology refreshes, and optimisation tasks across varied environments.
  • Thorough knowledge of DevOps methodologies with practical expertise in developing CI/CD pipelines using tools including Git, Terraform Cloud (with Infrastructure as Code), HashiCorp Vault, Harness or Jenkins.
  • Proven capability in managing incidents related to enterprise networking connectivity issues whilst enhancing overall platform stability through effective resolution strategies.
  • Experience conducting peer code reviews with an emphasis on upholding high standards for quality assurance and security compliance.
  • A solid foundation in developing infrastructure automation scripts using Bash or Python for efficient lifecycle management of cloud resources.
  • The ability to collaborate productively with architectural teams as well as business stakeholders to deliver integrated artefacts that fulfil organisational requirements.
  • A continuous appetite for acquiring new industry practices or tooling coupled with adaptability when responding to evolving requirements or priorities.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills facilitating clear articulation of technical concepts across multidisciplinary teams.
