Job description
As Technical Lead for Neutral-Atom Quantum Computing, you will be responsible for defining and driving the key technological and scientific developments required to scale neutral-atom quantum processors. You will translate scientific advances into a coherent technical roadmap and lead their implementation in close collaboration with academic and industrial partners., * Developing and maintaining a long-term technological and scientific roadmap for neutral-atom quantum computing, with a focus on scalability, performance, and fault tolerance.
- Leading and growing a team of technical experts addressing key challenges in neutral-atom quantum hardware and systems integration.
- Guiding and coordinating technical development activities across partner institutions, startups, and internal MQV projects.
- Closely collaborating with academic research groups and industrial partners to accelerate the translation of scientific results into robust technological solutions.
- Providing technical input and expertise to joint funding proposals and large-scale research projects at the state, federal, and European levels.
Requirements
- Doctoral degree in physics, engineering, or a related field with a strong experimental background in quantum information processing
- Proven expertise in neutral-atom quantum computing, quantum simulation, or closely related quantum platforms
- Leadership experience or clear potential to lead technical teams and coordinate complex development efforts
- Strong communication skills and a structured, problem-solving mindset
- High level of self-motivation, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in interdisciplinary environments
