We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Transducer Test Engineer to join an Electromechanical Design team working on advanced underwater acoustic technologies. This is a hands-on, versatile role supporting both existing products and calibration equipment used across UK and international operations.This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to innovative subsea transducer systems while developing your skills alongside experienced engineers in a collaborative environment.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform in-air and in-water acoustic and electrical testingAnalyse test data and produce detailed reports, including findings and root cause analysisUse specialist laboratory equipment to measure sound pressure levels, frequency response, noise, and vibrationDevelop and execute test procedures to meet acoustic, electrical, and environmental standardsSupport and improve existing underwater acoustic products and calibration systemsCommunicate test results clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersLiaise with production teams to support acoustic processes and implement improvementsAssist with prototype build, evaluation, and testing of new subsea transducer designsEnsure compliance with relevant industry standards and certificationsEssential Skills & ExperienceKnowledge of underwater acoustics and transducer fundamentalsStrong problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detailAbility to analyse and interpret test dataClear written and verbal communication skillsPractical mechanical engineering experience, including prototype assembly and testingStrong IT skills, particularly Microsoft OfficeDesirableExperience developing laboratory software or test toolsBackground in quality control or test engineering environmentsQualificationsDegree in Physics, Mathematics, or Engineering (BEng/BSc minimum or equivalent)TPBN1_UKTJ Similar jobs, Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented Electronics Technician(Test & Validation) to join our Product Development team.
