Job description
Balfour Beatty Power T&D are currently looking for a GIS Analyst to join the team and focus on our major Bramford to Twinstead Network Optimisation Project. Role will be based at our Assington site (nr Sudbury) in Suffolk, with hybrid working. Role purpose:

Responsible for supporting GIS systems and delivering GIS outputs internally and externally for the BTNO Project.

Liaise with Site Operatives, Environmental & Design teams among others for the population, distribution &; upkeep of GIS Data.

Provide support to the project in delivering GIS requirements.

Create GIS data to be used across the project.

Create GIS based outputs.

Deliver required GIS data to internal and external clients.

Managing data and assuring data to the required standards.

Work closely with Site Operatives/ Environmental/ Designers/ BIM , GIS & CAD teams to convert data between formats.

Development of GIS based technology.

Engage with and support GIS users to deal with queries and improve efficiency.
-
Engage with users to help improve their work and deal with queries.

Engagement with stakeholders/clients
-
Develop new ideas and approaches to help improve processes and create value.

Maintain a commitment to CPD, staying ahead of emerging digital, geospatial, and data technologies relevant to the power industry
Requirements
Skills Required: The following qualities/experience are essential:
-
Experience with ArcGIS Online/ArcGIS Portal
-
Experience with ArcGIS Pro
-
Experience in data quality and assurance
-
Experience in successfully managing and producing data
-
Experience with Microsoft Excel
-
Knowledge of Geodatabases & coordinate systems
-
Experience creating map outputs
-
Excellent organisational skills with a high attention to detail and accuracy
-
Ability to work to tight deadlines and under minimum supervision
-
Ability to work on your own and part of a team
The following qualities/experience are also desirable:

Experience with QGIS

Experience with CAD
-
Experience managing user accounts

Knowledge of BIM
-
Experience of Python
