The Lighting Controls Application Engineer, will review large lighting enquiries/projects and select/design the correct control solution. Including [where applicable] dimming topologies and architectures. What we're looking forUnderstanding of different dimming topologies and architectures such as: standalone sensors, wired LCMs, wired LCMs, DALI and DALI 2. Proficiency in MS Office & Bluebeam / CAD / Dialux / Relux Hands on work experience with different wired and wireless control systems in the lighting space. The ability to prepare and release 'technical submissions' documentation for projects. The ability to present design solutions to internal sales and customers. Experience of managing day-to-day enquiries relating to control systems and required controls philosophies. An eye for detail and the ability to follow processes and create required documentation Understanding of Zigbee and BLE Mesh technologies. Understanding of CIBSE relevant lighting guides (i.e. LG7 / LG10 etc) Other requirementsA can-do attitude with a willingness to learn Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders Strong knowledge of industry codes and standards. Ability to communicate effectively and remain professional in circumstances under pressure Ability to work to tight schedules / deadlines The role will be predominantly office based but will require site visits and may involve some overnight stays. What will success look like?Build a pipeline of lighting control quotes /designs Great conversion ratio: of Enquires - designs completed - orders won Deep understanding of key supplier control systems Keep up to date with regulations and legislations related to controls protocols.
