What a day in the life of the Lead Data Engineer for Europe BeautyTech Data team looks like:

As a Lead Data Engineer for Digital & Marketing inside the Europe Beauty Tech Data Team, you will oversee all analytics & AI initiatives of Digital & Marketing from a technical point of view

This position embrace various tasks such as acting as a technical referent for the team members (data engineers, front-end developers), being part of the hiring process of new joiners, co-build hand in hand with the métiers functional architectures and data models etc. In this role you will :

Delivery leader pilar:

  • Ensure the team uses recommended engineering practicesand framework

  • Is responsible of the technical quality and compliance with the technical frame of the delivery

  • Upskill and onboarding of the team

  • Provides his inputs about the product roadmaps

  • Responsible of global technical consistency design of the dataacross the analytics products within the data domain

Business partner pilar:

  • Understand the product owner needs to ensure the technical robustness
  • Plan the team size and skills with the management and the PO
  • Scoping and estimation processfor new analytics products
  • Act as métier partner on ideation process and data modelsdeisgn
  • Invests in continual improvements of the platform to meet the changing needs and environment - Innovation
  • Actively involved in the Data Engineering community

Requirements

  • 6+ years IT technical experience in Data Engineering or Software Engineering with a first experience in architecture design in Cloud environment GCP

  • Has strong leadership skills, architectureskillsand development skills

  • Has a longexperiencein softwaredevelopmenton largeprojects(Notjustacodingexperiencebutisable todefinethe standards)

  • SignificativeExperience with one general purpose programming language (e.g., Python, Java, C#, TypeScript,etc) and success in implementing applications or APIs

  • Isa facilitator (animate technical session) and a trainer (knowledge transfer, sharing)

  • Problem anticipator & solver

  • Be able toestablishand maintain strong relationshipswith other teams

  • Be able todemonstratestrong resilience and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment,

  • Team spirit with other Data Tech Lead: Share difficulties and ideas; solve problem together

  • Aware of new IT innovations and development best practices

  • Preferred stack: GCP expert, Terraform, SQL,Github, FAST API

  • Any relevant experience on Digital & Marketing systems or data is a plus (CRM, Social Media sources, Media Agencies data etc)

  • Good Verbal and written communications skills in English
