Job description

  • The Rockstar London Localisation Team provide high quality localisation on all Rockstar products and services.
  • Work closely with all internal teams including development, marketing, design, localisation QA and our territory offices across the world to ensure the highest quality localisations for our games. Plus, advising on localisation best practices and offering localisation solutions to problems.
  • We work very closely with external localisation teams (project management, scheduling, terminology management, reviews, regular meetings etc).
  • We manage the packaging localisation from initial setup, internal approvals, first party approvals, reviewing proofs all the way through to sending the packaging to print.
  • Manage the age rating process for our games, this includes reviewing game content that is in development all the way through to the submissions to each rating board across the world., * Assist IT and Localisation with the maintenance and management of memoQ where required.
  • Provide technical guidance and troubleshoot issues relating to memoQ and other custom solutions connected to memoQ.
  • Create and modify custom filters and scripts as needed to support new\changing file types.
  • Review\modify existing custom solutions and tools as needed.
  • Work with internal teams to propose, create new approaches and solutions which include integrations with other internal systems and source content repositories.
  • Help identify processes that can be optimised and automated to improve our localisation workflow.
  • Keep up to date with new language technologies and brief London Localisation on anything that might be beneficial.
  • Keep documentation up to date on all customs tools, scripts, and workflows.

Requirements

Do you have experience in XML?, * Previous experience in localisation engineering.

  • Expert knowledge of memoQ.
  • Knowledge of character sets, encoding and multilingual localization.
  • Experienced in API programming.
  • Experience with scripting or programming (C#, Python or similar), plus familiarity with localisation file formats (XML/XLIFF) and regex for automation tasks.
  • Has strong analytical skills, passion for problem solving and the ability to come up with creative solutions.
  • The ability to communicate clearly and effectively to people with different levels of technical knowledge.
  • Highly organised with great project management skills., * A passion for Rockstar Games \ video games.
  • Good knowledge of game localisation and internationalisation.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, including query development and performance optimisation.
  • Fluency in any of the following languages (French, German, Spanish, Mexican Spanish, Italian, Russian, Polish, Brazilian Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, Traditional/Simplified Chinese).
  • Strong knowledge base in the world of entertainment: technology, music, film etc.
