Job description

Data Modeller

Hybrid Working - London - 2 days a week on site.

Lorien's leading banking client is looking for a skilled Data Modeller to support a key project on an initial 6-month contract.

This role will focus on logical data modelling and requires strong experience with industry-standard tools and techniques.

  • Design and maintain logical data models to support business and technical requirements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs and translate them into structured models.
  • Use UML to document data structures and relationships.
  • Work with Sparx Enterprise Architect (EA), Erwin, or other leading data modelling tools to create and manage models.
  • Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and data governance standards.

This role is based in London.

This role will be Via Umbrella.

Working in a Hybrid Model of 2 days a week on site.

Key Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience in logical data modelling across complex environments.
  • Strong understanding of UML and data modelling best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with SparxEA, Erwin, or similar tools such as Power Designer, IBM Infosphere Data Architect, or Oracle SQL Developer Data Modeler.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Desirable:

  • Experience in metadata management or data governance frameworks.
  • Familiarity with physical data modelling and database design.
  • Neo4J highly desirable
