Job description
- Create advanced SQL and MongoDB queries for data audits and analysis.
- Design data quality dashboards and oversee corrective action plans., As part of our digital transformation, we are looking for a data governance expert capable of ensuring the quality, consistency, and reliability of data at the heart of our business processes. As a Data Governance Expert 80-100%, you play a key role in structuring our data assets, implementing reference frameworks, and continuously improving data quality. In this position, you will join a motivated team of 6 people and play a central role in supporting our data transformation.
The missions awaiting you:
- Establish and maintain data reference frameworks (master data, nomenclatures), define associated management rules, and ensure coherent synchronization of data between different source and consumer systems
- Write advanced SQL and MongoDB queries to audit data quality, produce ad hoc analyses, and feed quality control pipelines
- Design and maintain data quality dashboards (completeness, consistency, accuracy, uniqueness) and manage corrective action plans
- Document and enforce governance policies, standards, and processes across the organization
- Manage Master Data Management projects, define matching and deduplication rules, and oversee associated tools
- Analyze complex data models (relational, document-based), define associated mappings, and document transformations
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's in IT with at least 5 years in data governance.
- Proven experience with MDM tools and data deduplication techniques.
- Advanced SQL and MongoDB skills for complex data handling., * Proven experience with MDM tools (e.g., Informatica MDM, Semarchy, Talend MDM, Profisee or equivalent) and entity deduplication/matching engines
- Advanced mastery of SQL (complex queries, optimization, stored procedures) and MongoDB (aggregations, indexing, document queries)
- Proficiency with a BI tool for creating data quality dashboards (Power BI, Tableau or equivalent)
- Ability to read, analyze, and document complex data models (MPD, MCD, NoSQL schemas)
- Knowledge of quality dimensions (DAMA-DMBOK, ISO 8000) and data profiling methodologies
- Proven experience in implementing a data catalog
- Experience with Azure (data lake, data warehouse) is a plus, * Higher education in computer science such as HES, Bachelor / Master EPFL or equivalent
- At least 5 years of experience in a role focused on data governance, data quality, or MDM
- Strong analytical and synthesis skills when dealing with large and heterogeneous data sets
- Demonstrate a rigorous, solution-oriented mindset, with keen attention to detail and a strong data culture
- Apply Scrum methodology and collaborate effectively within agile teams
- Language: Fluent in French, English is a plus
