Job description

You will take ownership of the organisation's Oracle HCM environment (Core HR, Absence, Recruitment, Benefits and related modules), ensuring it delivers operational excellence and supports long-term business strategy.

This role goes beyond system maintenance. You will act as an internal consultant - challenging existing processes, identifying opportunities for automation and AI integration, and leading the roadmap for continuous improvement across HR technology. You will also directly manage and develop a team responsible for systems configuration, integrations and management information reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic development and optimisation of the global Oracle HCM platform
  • Oversee system configuration, testing, enhancements and supplier engagement
  • Develop and execute a forward-thinking HR systems and AI roadmap
  • Drive process improvement through technology innovation and automation
  • Strengthen governance frameworks for change control, testing and system enhancements
  • Manage integrations between HR systems and Finance, Payroll, IT and other enterprise platforms
  • Deliver high-quality, insight-led management information and analytics to senior stakeholders
  • Monitor system performance and supplier SLAs, escalating risks where necessary
  • Lead, coach and develop a team of HR Systems specialists and MI analysts
  • Run requirements-gathering workshops and translate business needs into technical solutions

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience configuring and developing Oracle HCM (essential)
  • Proven experience leading and developing a HR Systems, MI or Data team
  • Demonstrable experience managing HR system integrations across multiple platforms
  • Strong understanding of system governance, testing protocols and change management
  • Experience operating in complex, evolving environments
  • Ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders and translate technical concepts clearly
  • Strong analytical capability with experience delivering meaningful business insights
  • Process improvement, Business Analysis or related qualifications would be advantageous.
