Job description
The Product Owner is responsible for ensuring that the product meets the needs of the customer, is delivered on time, and is of high quality. They are the key decision-makers and represent the voice of the customer in the product development process. The Product Owner must have a deep understanding of the customer needs, as well as the technical aspects of the product., * Customer focused: Put the customer first by ensuring products bring the most possible value. This comes from understanding customers and the market in depth.
- Requirements Gathering: Work closely with product managers, UX and data experts, stakeholders, and the development team to identify and prioritise product features and requirements. Maintain a clear, prioritised product backlog.
- Prioritisation: Prioritise the product backlog based on customer value, business value, and technical feasibility.
- Sprint Planning: Collaborate with the development team to plan sprints, define sprint goals, and select backlog items for delivery.
- Acceptance Criteria: Define clear acceptance criteria for backlog items so the development team understands expected outcomes.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders across sales, operations, UX, marketing, data, and leadership teams. Provide updates on progress and any changes.
- Product Demonstrations: Conduct demos to gather feedback and validate product direction.
- Product Release: Work with product managers to determine release timing and feature content. Support the development team to deliver on time and at high quality.
- Product Evangelist: Serve as the product expert, sharing knowledge with fellow product owners, teams, and stakeholders., You help build a trusting, open culture. Requirements
Do you have experience in Scrum?, * 3+ years of experience in product management or a related field
- Data and research focused, able to drive decisions and measure success
- Strong understanding of agile methodologies and modern product development processes
- Excellent communicator and collaborator, able to motivate teams and champion the product vision
- Able to make quick decisions and prioritise effectively
- Proven track record of launching successful products and delivering business impact
- Experience with subscription-based products (advantage)
Knowledge
- Understanding of Agile, Scrum, and product methodology
- Agile product management certification (advantage)
- Experience in the education sector (advantage)
