Job description
We are looking for a skilled Oracle Intelligent Advisor (IA) Developer to join a public sector project in the Midlands. In this role, you will be responsible for building and supporting IA rulebases, digital forms, and integrations that are secure, accessible, and production-ready. This is a hands-on role suited for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, delivery-focused environment and has strong experience working across both front-end and backend IA components.
Responsibilities_ Designing and developing IA rulebases and user-friendly form journeys Configuring and managing Oracle IA Hub, deployments, and runtime behaviour Building custom Web Determinations / Interview controls using vanilla JavaScript Ensuring applications meet WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility standards (ARIA, keyboard navigation, etc.) Developing and optimising SQL Server databases, stored procedures, and data models Creating and maintaining Java SOAP-based integrations Performing testing (functional, regression, accessibility, and performance) Supporting deployments via Azure DevOps and managing changes through ServiceNow Providing live support, troubleshooting issues, and resolving defects Contributing to documentation and continuous improvement initiatives Core Technical Skills
Requirements
Strong experience with Oracle Intelligent Advisor (IA) - rule modelling, decision logic, and Hub configuration Expertise in custom JavaScript (no frameworks) for IA controls Solid understanding of SQL Server (schema design, performance tuning) Experience with Java SOAP integrations Familiarity with Azure DevOps and ServiceNow processes Accessibility & Standards Hands-on experience implementing WCAG 2.2 AA standards Knowledge of GDS design principles and user-centric design
