Job description
Our client, a leading organisation within the digital solutions space, is seeking a PHP Developer with strong Yii framework experience to support the delivery of scalable, high-quality web applications on an initial 6-month contract.
This role offers the opportunity to contribute to key projects, enhance existing platforms, and work within a collaborative, delivery-focused environment.
What you'll do
- Develop, maintain, and optimise web applications using PHP and Yii
- Collaborate with front-end developers and designers to deliver seamless user experiences
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
- Participate in code reviews and uphold development best practices
- Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance existing applications
You'll work closely with product, design, and QA teams to deliver robust solutions at pace.
Requirements
- Strong commercial experience with PHP development
- Proven experience using the Yii framework (Yii2 preferred)
- Solid understanding of MVC architecture
- Experience working with MySQL or similar relational databases
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and version control (Git)
The ideal candidate will bring a proactive approach, strong problem-solving skills, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced contract environment.
