Job description
As our BI Manager, you'll play a key role in shaping the future of data, analytics and AI Innovation at iQ. Reporting to the Head of BI & Technology Solutions, you'll lead the development of end-to-end BI, reporting and intelligence solutions while managing and developing a high-performing BI team. You'll turn complex business needs into smart, scalable data products. From data modelling and ETL design to dashboards, predictive analytics and AI-enabled insights. You'll champion data quality, drive best-practice engineering, and help expand our use of AI-powered automation and decision support. Working closely with our development and engineering teams, you'll evolve our BI warehouse, data models and reporting ecosystem using Microsoft Fabric and modern analytics tools. You'll deliver in a fast-paced, agile environment, balancing rapid prototyping with robust engineering standards., * Leading hands-on development of reliable, scalable BI solutions
- Translating business requirements into well-designed data models, reporting and analytics
- Managing planning, prioritisation and delivery of BI projects and workstreams
- Monitoring and optimising the BI platform, preparing it for future AI capabilities
- Creating rapid proof-of-concepts using test-and-learn approaches and AI enabled tools
- Shaping the BI roadmap and identifying opportunities for enhanced reporting, data access and AI driven improvements
- Designing and implementing modern cloud-based BI architecture
- Developing robust data models and Star Schemas for consistent reporting
- Coaching and developing the BI team, supporting collaboration and high performance
- Running QA, testing and peer reviews to ensure accuracy and maintainability
- Delivering training and supporting the adoption of AI enhanced BI features
Requirements
Do you have experience in T-SQL?, * Strong experience delivering impactful BI and analytics solutions
- Deep hands-on expertise with the Microsoft Data & Analytics Platform, including Microsft Fabric and advanced Power BI
- Strong data modelling and warehousing skills
- Proficiency in T-SQL and Python for analytics, automation or light ML
- Understanding of statistical methods and modern AI-driven BI capabilites
- Proven leadership experience, coaching a BI or analytics team and managing multiple workstreams
- Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Highly organised, adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
