IT Technical Business Manager & Principal Engineer

The IT Technical Business Manager & Principal Engineer position is very much a self-motivating role that requires excellent current IT Skills across a wide range of technologies and established people management skills.

To be able to take on this extremely flexible and rewarding role, you will need to bring

• A proven track record in the IT industry demonstrating a wide range of real-life technical knowledge gained through experience
• A high level of Azure and Microsoft 365 skills and hands on knowledge essential. For Azure this must include some experience at an infrastructure level and working with VM's and not just Azure Entra ID.
• For Microsoft 365, skills and experience should include areas such as the creation of Conditional Access Policies, working with and creating InTune Policies as well as standard Day to Day Administration and support experience.
• Microsoft exam qualifications in both areas would be an advantage.
• Solid experience in general networking is essential with strong TCP/IP knowledge including configuration of DHCP and DNS on Windows Servers, and experience with the configuration of Entry Level Firewalls and Routers preferred.
• Strong leadership abilities, with a track record of inspiring and developing others
• Previous experience of leading and managing a support team
• Exceptional IT problem solving skills and resourcefulness
• An ability to prioritise and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• A genuine enthusiasm for technology and a desire to jump into, and skill up on new technologies and solutions
• Have a clean driving license and access to a personal vehicle if working away from home is required.
• Be able to adapt to changing priorities and have a flexible approach to performing the role.

• Microsoft Azure at Infrastructure / VM Level (Not just Entra ID)
• Solid general understanding of networking, IP routing and Firewall Configuration
• Managing and administering Office 365 including SharePoint, * Have you got hands on experience with Azure Infrastructure and are able to build out a VM infrastrcutre and required networking in Azure ?
• Do you have hands on, day to day experience in supporting and configuring 365 Tenants including SharePoint Libraries ?
• Can you configure from scratch Conditional Access Policies to secure Endpoints and a 365 Tenant ?
• Do you have a solid understanding of IP networking, routers and Firewall Configurations and Rule Bases ?

• Hands on Technnical IT Support and IT Infrastructure : 10 years (required)
