Job description
The RoleAs a Data Architect, you will design scalable, secure, and compliant data architectures using Microsoft Foundry, Azure, and Databricks technologies, with a strong focus on healthcare data ecosystems, analytics, AI readiness, and regulatory compliance., * Design and govern enterprise data architectures using Microsoft Foundry, Azure Data Factory, ADLS, Synapse, and Databricks (Spark & Delta Lake).
- Lead data modelling initiatives including star schema and lakehouse patterns.
- Architect end-to-end ETL/ELT pipelines and integration strategies.
- Ensure solutions meet NHS standards (FHIR/HL7), patient data sensitivity, and governance requirements.
- Provide architectural leadership on ML workflows and data platform modernisation.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and engineering teams to translate business needs into robust, future-proof data solutions.
Requirements
- Experience with NHS/healthcare datasets and FHIR/HL7 standards.
- Understanding of patient data sensitivity, security, and compliance in regulated environments.
- Your ProfileEssential skills/knowledge/experience:
- Strong experience with Microsoft Foundry, Azure (Data Factory, ADLS, Synapse) and Databricks (Spark, Delta Lake).
- Proficient in Python and SQL.
- Proven track record designing end-to-end data pipelines and architectures.
- Deep understanding of ETL/ELT design and data modelling (star schema / lakehouse).
- Knowledge of ML workflows (basic to intermediate).
