Job description
We're looking for an IT Support Engineer to join the team at IT Fast. You'll be working in a busy and supportive environment where being proactive, communicating well and having solid technical ability are all important. You'll need to be someone who works well as part of a team but is also confident working independently and taking ownership of issues.
This is an office based role at our Datchet office. You'll be responsible for providing day to day support to our clients, troubleshooting issues across hardware, software and networks, and getting involved in larger projects such as network installs, server upgrades and infrastructure rollouts.
You'll also occasionally attend client sites, so a full UK driving licence and access to your own car are essential. A company vehicle will be provided for site visits and installations., * Provide 1st and 2nd line IT support to business clients, making sure issues are resolved quickly and professionally
- Diagnose and troubleshoot problems across Windows 10 and 11, macOS and Windows Server environments
- Support and manage Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace, including user setup, application deployment and basic security configuration
- Maintain Active Directory, Group Policy, Intune and network printers
- Set up and support routers, firewalls, switches and WiFi networks
- Assist with on site installations including networking equipment, servers and end user devices
- Keep clear and accurate notes in the helpdesk system
- Work closely with the team to maintain a high level of service and client satisfaction
- Spot opportunities to improve systems and processes for clients
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years experience in an IT support role, MSP experience preferred
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace
- Experience with Azure and Intune for device management and policies
- Comfortable working with Active Directory and Windows Server
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Full UK driving licence and own car required
Desirable
- CompTIA or Microsoft certifications
- Experience supporting small and medium sized businesses
- Familiar with RMM tools, endpoint security and backup solutions, * IT support: 2 years (required)
