Job description
Join the public sector as an ICT Technician in Belfast, delivering essential technical support and maintaining IT systems to support key services., * In conjunction with the Senior IT Technician and IT Manager implement the Trust's IT strategy and related policies.
- Provide end user support and undertake complex fault diagnosis and resolution for the full range of IT Systems within NIAS.
- Undertake site visits for the repair, maintenance, and assessment of requirements for planned / proposed IT developments.
- Participate in projects as directed.
- Participate in the IT on call rota.
Requirements
- University Degree or a recognised equivalent professional qualification in an Information Communication and Technology (ICT) discipline AND a minimum of 1 years' experience in the installation and support of the full range of network based computer equipment, such as personal computers, printers and data switches
- OR HND or recognised equivalent professional qualification in an Information Communication Technology (ICT) discipline AND a minimum of 2 years' experience in the installation and support of the full range of network based computer equipment, such as personal computers, printers and data switches
- OR A minimum of 4 years' experience in the installation and support of the full range of network based computer equipment, such as personal computers, printers and data switches
- Working knowledge and experience of Microsoft desktop application software and Windows operating systems
- Working knowledge and experience of Intranet / Internet Portal Systems and Technologies
- Hold a current full driving licence which is valid for use in the UK AND / OR have access to a form of transport which will permit the applicant to meet the post requirements in full
