Broadreach Recruitment is working with a design-led manufacturing business to appoint an ERP / Product Data Engineer.
This is a key role responsible for building and maintaining the product data and BOM structures that drive procurement, manufacturing and reporting.
You'll sit between engineering, production and systems, ensuring that product data is accurate, structured and fit for purpose.
What You'll Be Doing
- Creating and maintaining BOM structures for standard and bespoke products
- Developing configurator-based product structures within ERP systems
- Supporting new product introduction (NPI)
- Managing material and component libraries
- Ensuring product data supports:
- Procurement
- Manufacturing
- Costing
- Maintaining environmental / sustainability data outputs
- Continuously improving ERP data structures and processes
- Working closely with engineering and production teams
Requirements
We are looking for someone with experience in manufacturing, product engineering or design-led production environments, with a strong understanding of:
- Bills of Materials (BOMs)
- Product structures
- ERP / MRP systems
If your experience is purely in software development or IT databases without manufacturing exposure, this role is unlikely to be suitable., Essential
- Experience in a manufacturing or product-based environment
- Strong understanding of BOMs and product structures
- Experience using ERP or MRP systems (Winman or similar)
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience supporting design for manufacture processes
Desirable
- Degree in Engineering or Product Design
- Experience with configurator-based systems

Experience:
