The Council's IT Services department is seeking a professional and enthusiastic senior technical analyst to join a small team of Infrastructure engineers responsible for maintaining the Council's hybrid cloud infrastructure. This is an excellent time to join local Government IT due to the challenging projects required to support and deliver the forth coming Local Government Reorganisation., In the role of Senior Infrastructure Officer , here's an example of what you'll be doing to make an impact: Working in a senior Server/Infrastructure role providing support for Microsoft, virtualisation and Hyperconverged technology, Citrix, Backups, Cloud infrastructure services. Design & build secure scalable IT infrastructure. The opportunity to work with a wide range of technologies. Resolving Incidents, problems, and requests. Customers, staff, and third-party liaison. Working independently and as part of a team to deliver excellent IT support. Lead on high profile Infrastructure project delivery to tight time scales. Report writing and technical documentation. Training and development for junior staff., As part of our safer recruitment checks the successful candidate will be subject to a Basic DBS check. Requirements
To be successful in this role, you'll ideally have… Minimum 3 years' experience working in a senior Server/Infrastructure support role covering Microsoft, virtualisation and Hyperconverged technology, Citrix, Backups, Cloud infrastructure services. Able to demonstrate strong technical ability in multiple technologies. Excellent problem solving and customer management skills. Proven experience working independently and as part of a team. Lead on high profile Infrastructure project delivery to tight time scales. Objective driven. Effective communication skills. Highly tuned problem-solving skills.
