Associate Researcher - Software Development (Python) | ENG | P&G

We are seeking a motivated Associate Researcher with a strong software engineering background to support the development of computational tools and applications. This role is focused entirely on software development, with no laboratory work required. As an Associate Researcher, you will contribute to the design, development, and improvement of software solutions used in research and technical projects. The position is ideal for candidates who enjoy translating scientific or engineering problems into efficient, well-structured code. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and help develop tools that support modeling, analysis, and data-driven research., Develop, test, and maintain software applications primarily using Python

• Translate technical or research requirements into robust software solutions
• Contribute to code reviews, documentation, and best practices in software development
• Work collaboratively with researchers and engineers to implement computational workflows
• Improve existing codebases for performance, reliability, and usability

Background in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field

• Strong programming skills in Python

• Experience with software development best practices (version control, testing, documentation)

• Ability to work independently while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have) :

• Engineering background such as: chemical engineering , mechanical engineering , materials engineering
